PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance designed to prevent breakdowns, reduce downtime, and keep your truck operating safely and efficiently.

Our preventative maintenance service includes a complete engine oil and filter change using quality filters and fluids that meet the manufacturer’s specifications. We replace the engine oil filter and inspect for leaks or other conditions that could lead to premature engine wear or unexpected downtime.
Fuel filters are replaced as required and the fuel system is inspected for leaks, contamination, or other visible concerns. We also inspect the engine air filter and intake system and recommend replacement when needed to help maintain proper airflow, fuel economy, and engine performance.
Every PM includes a visual inspection of critical truck components. Our technicians check the braking system, steering, suspension, driveline, tires, wheel ends, belts, hoses, lighting, batteries, and other major components for wear, damage, leaks, or developing problems.
We inspect and verify essential fluid levels including engine coolant, power steering fluid, transmission fluid where applicable, windshield washer fluid, and other serviceable systems. The engine, transmission, differentials, cooling system, and surrounding components are also inspected for visible fluid leaks.
Brake components are inspected for wear and proper operation, including brake shoes or pads, drums or rotors, chambers, air lines, and related components where accessible. Tires are checked for condition and abnormal wear, while steering and suspension components are inspected for looseness, damage, or excessive wear.
Applicable chassis lubrication points are serviced during the PM, including steering, suspension, driveline, and other greaseable components as required by the vehicle. Proper lubrication helps reduce component wear and extend the service life of expensive chassis components.
At Lexington Diesel, a preventative maintenance service is an opportunity to identify problems before they become expensive roadside breakdowns. If our technicians find worn, leaking, damaged, or unsafe components during the inspection, those concerns are documented and brought to your attention so repairs can be planned before they cause additional downtime.
Whether you operate a single heavy-duty truck or an entire commercial fleet, we can help establish consistent PM intervals based on mileage, engine hours, vehicle application, and operating conditions.
Our goal is simple: catch problems early, reduce unexpected downtime, and keep your equipment on the road.
