Back on the Job: Roadside Starter Replacement on a Dump Truck

When a work truck goes down, every hour of downtime matters. This dump truck was stuck on the road after its starter failed, leaving the driver unable to get the truck running and back to work. Instead of requiring a tow to the shop, Lexington Diesel brought the repair directly to the truck with our mobile service unit.

Once our technician arrived on location, we diagnosed the no-start condition and confirmed that the starter had failed. With the problem identified, we removed the faulty starter, installed the replacement, checked the necessary electrical connections, and tested the starting system to make sure everything was operating properly.

The truck fired back up and was able to get off the roadside and return to operation without being towed into the shop.
