Texas to Rochester: Custom Shock Mount Repair on a Peterbilt

Not every repair that comes through Lexington Diesel is a standard parts replacement. This Peterbilt made the trip all the way from Texas to our shop in Rochester, New York, for a specialized repair involving the truck’s shock mounting points.

The existing shock bolt holes required drilling and correction so the shocks could be properly mounted and secured. Our technicians carefully measured and drilled the mounting locations to achieve the proper fitment while maintaining the integrity of the surrounding components. With work like this, accuracy matters—a poorly positioned or oversized mounting hole can create fitment issues, premature wear, and problems with the suspension down the road.

After completing the drilling and fitment work, we verified that the shock mounting hardware aligned correctly and that everything could be properly secured. The result was a clean, functional repair that got the Peterbilt ready to head back out on the road.
